这些业已消失的活动和仪式通过该书得以保留下来，为我们研究民众生活和风俗仪式提供了不可或缺的资料。

另外，《泰山：中国圣山东岳》一书记录了一些当时比较重要的建筑，如位于泰安城北郊的“三教塔”和岱宗坊西侧的碧霞元君行宫，这对了解和研究泰安古城布局具有重要价值。

当然，由于语言差异等原因，《泰山：中国圣山东岳》一书对泰山历史、景观等解读时产生了一些误读，如对秦代爵位等级的理解，贝克尔把本为爵位名称的“五大夫”翻译成了“第五等级的大夫”。[20]尽管如此，《泰山：中国圣山东岳》仍不失为泰山研究中颇具价值的一部书。
